Eli Manning is married

A Super Bowl championship isn't the only big event this year for New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.
Manning married college sweetheart Abby McGrew during a sunset ceremony Saturday at the One & Only Palmilla resort on Mexico's Baja Peninsula.
Both The New York Daily News and The New York Post covered the event, with the Daily News providing details from inside the intimate ceremony.
The 27-year-old Manning and 24-year-old McGrew smiled and giggled during the 16-minute ceremony. They stood on a platform in the sand as waves crashed on the rocks behind them.
Manning and McGrew were both students at University of Mississippi when they met. The Daily News reports that Manning popped the question to her during a date in Hoboken last March, and that they chose the resort for their wedding after vacationing there several times.
McGrew carried a bouquet of white roses and wore a white gown with gold embroidering with a large bow and short train in the back. Her six bridesmaids wore champagne-colored strapless dresses.
Manning and his groomsmen wore khaki suits and white roses in their lapels. Manning wore a tie with blue and white stripes, while his groomsmen kept their collars open.
Moments before the ceremony, Eli Manning's brother Peyton, the Indianapolis Colt's star quarterback, wrapped his arm around his brother and whispered words of encouragement to him.
The Daily News reported that the minister looked down at Eli Manning's hands during the ceremony and joked that they were "quite large."
Giants spokesman Pat Hanlon declined to discuss the wedding when contacted Sunday by The Associated Press. Phone messages for Manning's agent Tom Condon and his Giants teammate Shaun O'Hara weren't immediately returned.
Manning has been with the Giants since 2004, and was this year's Super Bowl MVP, leading the Giants to their 17-14 upset win over the New England Patriots. Manning threw 19 of 34 for 255 yards and two touchdowns, including a 13-yard touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress with 35 seconds to play.
Quarterbacks and thier loves
Jeff Garcia and former Playboy Playmate of the Year Carmella Decesare are about to celebrate their first anniversary as they await the birth of their first child.
Heather Kozar was Playmate of the Year in 1999. That's also the year hubby Tim Couch was the first overall pick in the NFL Draft. Neither seemingly has done much since. Coincidence?
Probably the first publicized QB romance flared up in the '40s. Hall of Famer Bob Waterfield and Hollywood bombshell Jane Russell were married for 25 years.
Tim Hasselbeck's five TDs in his career might be less than the number of controversial comments made every week by wife Elisabeth on The View.
The tabloids have been buzzing recently with rumors that Gisele Bundchen and the not-quite-perfect Tom Brady are engaged after she was spotted sporting a dazzling new ring.
No one seems to be quite sure what's going on with Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson. Their public sightings are infrequent, but when they happen they always get tongues wagging. Will Jess dare to come to a Cowboys game this season?
Actress Holly Robinson Peete and former NFL starter Rodney Peete form one of the most enduring QB love stories ever. They have been married for almost 13 years and have four kids.
Terry Bradshaw and JoJo Starbuck formed a winning combo during their eight years of marriage. He won four Super Bowls, while she was a three-time U.S. pair skating champion.
Cathy Lee Crosby, who starred on TV's That's Incredible in the early '80s, stood by Joe Theismann's side after his career-ending leg injury. He wound up suing her for half of her assets.
Quarterbacks have a long tradition of playboy behavior. One of today's standard-bearers is Kyle Boller, who has been linked to Tara Reid (above), Petra Nemcova, Haylie Duff and Ali Moon.
Well, now with Eli married, there goes any chance of another Super Bowl win.
No, I am just kidding. And maybe Giselle is the reason why Brady screwed up Super Bowl.
That was a good game to watch though.
Pretty amazing.
But I noticed a trend with some of those quarter backs.
They seem to have a thing for playboy models.
I wonder why...
Whatever. That is life.
And I noticed that no NBA stars have any playboy models with them.
I wonder if any have or do.
